Mission Statement

VISION

We envision the University of the Philippines - College of Allied Medical Professions to be a venue for providing world class professional training, innovative and responsive research and community service in rehabilitation science.

MISSION

The College of Allied Medical Professions aims to provide leadership in education, research and services in the fields of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology. To this end, the College endeavors to:

 ¨      Provide opportunities that will enable students to:

  1. acquire a high level of professional skills,  knowledge and attitudes
  2. appreciate the health needs of the country and be responsive to the total needs of individuals with physical and/or mental impairments
  3. function effectively as members of the health team in the community and the profession
  4. develop initiative for continued and self-directed learning
  5. develop critical-thinking and scientific inquiry

¨      Undertake research which will augment the knowledge base and advance the practice of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology;

¨      Develop innovative programs, projects, and models of practice that meet  the country’s health needs;

¨      Render services in the fields of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology;

¨      Provide opportunities for faculty development; and

¨      Influence national policies and decision- making related to disability prevention, rehabilitation and professional interests.
