The Professional Regulation Commission of the Republic of the Philippines enacted Resolution No.08 Series of 1998 on October 29, 1999. The resolution requires examinees who failed three times in the Licensure Examination for Physical Therapy to undergo a prescribed course of study and to show proof of completion of such a course before being allowed to take a fourth examination.
The UP College of Allied Medical Professions (CAMP) has developed a syllabus for the refresher course. Through this course, the participant is reviewed on essential knowledge areas in physical therapy and guided toward deeper understanding of these areas. The course is specially designed to promote self-directed learning. Modules will be used as guides throughout the course.
Objective of the Course
At the end of the refresher course, the Physical Therapy (PT) participant for licensure should be able to apply and integrate basic knowledge in:
a) Anatomy, Kinesiology and Physiology b) General Medical and Surgical Conditions c) Physical Therapy Applications
to specific medical conditions in preparation for taking a fourth licensure examination.
