CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: NAMING OF THE CAMP BUILDING

The College of Allied Medical Professions (UP Manila) is formally opening nominations to name the 5-story CAMP building honorifically in recognition of extraordinary service, distinguished achievement, and exemplary character.

Help us recognize an icon whose legacy has shaped the University, the allied health professions, and the Filipino nation!
The naming of University buildings, structures, and facilities after distinguished individuals is a long-standing UP practice, traditionally reserved for outstanding alumni, benefactors, and individuals of exceptional achievement or service. Since the construction of the CAMP building was not funded through private donations, the naming of the building in this instance will proceed on an honorific basis — that is, in recognition of a nominee’s extraordinary distinguished service or exceptional achievement, rather than as a naming right tied to a capital donation.Under the UP Naming Rights Policy, a building may be named in honor of a person or organization that “has given extraordinarily distinguished service to the University that merits recognition in the University’s history,” subject to the special recommendation of the President and the approval of the Board of Regents (BOR). This provides the policy basis for CAMP’s initiative to identify and name the building after an individual — living or deceased — whose achievements and character merit such recognition.
